About the Owner:

Darren Blackstone Foote was born and raised in Idaho on the Snake River, and currently lives and works in Kinderhook, NY. Foote studied philosophy and visual art as an undergraduate, received an MFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design, and went on to study the intersections of art, philosophy, and social engagement as a fellow in the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program.

Foote has worked for and installed the works of renowned artists who incorporate and push the intersections of art and design; from Roy McMakin’s studio and workshop in Seattle, WA, to James Turrell and Josiah McElheny while working at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.

Foote’s own sculptures are included in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, as well as private collections around the world. His design and build work has been featured in the New York Times.
